Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Manage and oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to contract negotiation and supplier selection.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.-
- Draft, review, and manage purchasing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.--
- Monitor supplier performance, manage risk, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Set up and optimize purchasing processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead negotiation efforts to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Collaborate with global project teams to align purchasing activities with project requirements.
- Analyze market trends, global material costs, and supplier data to inform purchasing decisions.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, savings, and performance metrics.
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office tools to manage purchasing data and processes effectively.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as finance, engineering, and production, to ensure seamless procurement operations.
- Manage and mentor a team of buyers or procurement specialists, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to procurement.-
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; additional legal education is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in purchasing and project management.
- 5+ years of negotiation experience.
- Fluent in Chinese (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Skills:
- Proficient in drafting purchasing contracts and setting up purchasing processes.
- Experienced in supplier management and onboarding.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and strong skills in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Effective negotiator with strong influence skills.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with global project teams.
- Understanding of global material costs.
